By
introducing the Express Entry System, the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
has made the complete immigration process smoother. Earlier relocating to the ‘Maple
Leaf Country’ was a real tough call but not any more. Before the system was
introduced, it was expected that it will be a big hit among the prospective
immigrants. Though the system was well acknowledged, it received it shares of criticism
as well.
It’s
been more than six months that the system has started accepting applications. Let’s
have a look on the latest updates on the Canada Express Entry 2015 for
our readers!
To
some extent, the Express Entry System has not been very successful in meeting
with the real expectations of prospective immigrants. With the announcement of
the system it was announced that applicants from all genres may apply. However,
it’s just half the truth. The fact is the applicants have to be eligible under the
Federal Economic Immigration Programme.
Chris
Alexander, the minister of the CIC had reportedly stated that Express Entry
will be free of occupation list but it is must for applicants to prove that
they have at least one year’s work experience in the skilled occupation in the
last 10 years. Each applicant is thoroughly scrutinized and applicants with the
positive factors to contribute towards the country’s economy and meet with the
local market need are likely to be picked.
Express
Entry Canada 2015 Updates
Express
Entry is a complete online system, it requires applicants to create an online
profile and submit an ‘Expression of Interest (EoI)’. Candidates with high
score on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) will be issued an ‘Invitation
to Apply (ITA)’ and will have 60 days to claim Permanent Residency (PR).
Applicants
are selected through draws. The CIC has set a target of processing the visa
application of up to 2, 85,000 applicants for the year 2015 alone. To achieve
the set target, draws at frequent intervals are taking place. Recently, to be
more precise on July 17, 2015, the 13th took place and the CIC issued
an ITA to around 1,581 applicants with a cut off points of 451 on the CRS.
In
India, the Express Entry system has created a buzz among the potential immigrants
and various professionals, such as Engineers, Managers, Doctors, and Charted
Accountants among others are creating online profile and waiting for the ITA.
It is expected that the CIC will increase the number of draws take place every
month. It has been observed that not more than two draws take place in a month and
it is likely that the number will go up.
Express
Entry System--Closing Thoughts
The
first four draws has seen a real high cut off on the CRS, but as the frequency
of the draws increased, the cut off decreased simultaneously to below 500
leaving a positive hope among those without a job offer. Thanks to their
experience and skills chances they might be picked up in the next draw. Half
the year has already passed, and to achieve the set target, the CIC is
expediting the complete process.
The
latest updates on the Express
Entry Canada 2015 are that the 13th draw has taken place and
1,581 applicants have been issued an Invitation to Apply to claim PR. The
system has created a buzz among the prospective immigrants.
